A bowl of cranberry sauce on a green cloth

Ingredients for Cranberry Sauce

16 ounces fresh or frozen whole cranberries

1 large navel orange (zested and juiced)

Additional orange juice to equal one full cup

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon of The Spice Apothecary’s Apple Pie Spice

Directions

Rinse the cranberries and add to a medium saucepan; add in the sugar, the Apple Pie Spice, & the zest and juice of the orange.

A quick note – since you’ll need a cup of orange juice you may need to top it off with another juiced orange or bottled oj.

Stir the ingredients and bring to a simmer over medium heat.

Lower the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes; and mash lightly.

Cool a bit and serve either room temperature or chilled.
