Deliciously seasoned ground meat with fresh veggies, dressing and a tasty crunch
Ingredients
1 – 1 1/2 pounds of ground turkey or beef
1 tablespoon of The Spice Apothecary’s El Taco Seasoning
1 head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 small red onion, diced
1 1/2 cups of tomatoes, diced
8 ounces of sharp cheddar, shredded
6 ounce can of drained black olives, halved
One 16 ounce bottle of Thousand Island Salad Dressing
One 10 ounce bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos
Directions
Start by browning the meat; break up the meat into small pieces and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Drain if there is any liquid or fat
Add in 1 tablespoon of El Taco seasoning; cook for a few more minutes making sure the meat is completely cooked through and the spices are incorporated. Remove from heat and set aside to cool
Add lettuce, red onion & the tomatoes to a large mixing bowl, toss. Add sharp cheddar, olives, cooled meat mixture, salad dressing and shredded cheddar; chill for 20-30 minutes
Just before serving, crunch up a 10 ounce bag of Nacho cheese Doritos and incorporate into the salad ingredients
