Thai Pork Bowl



















Ingredients:


Neutral oil such as grapeseed, canola or coconut

1 medium onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 pound ground meat (pork, turkey, beef)

1 tablespoon The Spice Apothecary's Thai Spice

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon gochujang sauce

1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

1 teaspoon fish sauce


For serving:


Shredded carrots

Edamame

Cashews

Scallions

Chili flakes


Finishing sauce:


Juice & zest of 1 lime

1 tablespoon fish sauce

2 tablespoons white sugar

2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar


Directions


Saute onions and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat until softened. Add ground meat and cook until browned. Add Thai Spice, soy, gochujang, ginger and fish sauce and saute until meat is cooked through.


Finishing Sauce:


Zest and juice 1 lime into a small bowl. Add in fish sauce, sugar, and rice wine vinegar. Whisk until sugar is dissolved.


Serve Thai pork mixture over rice or noodles, add desired toppings and a drizzle of finishing sauce.
