Compound butter, or "beurre composé" in French, is butter mixed with ingredients to make a sweet or savory condiment.
This homemade Compound Butter recipe is super easy to make and has so many uses.
Our blends make it even easier. Just soften a stick of unsalted butter, and whip with 2 teaspoons of The Spice Apothecary's seasoning. Add the compound butter to a sheet of waxed paper and roll up like a log.
Chill for at least 2 hours then slice into desired size medallions.
Compound butter freezes well. Thaw before use.
